We embrace creative and adaptive approaches to environmental challenges, integrating technology and new knowledge in our solutions.
We value diverse perspectives and promote inclusive participation in all aspects of our research and consultancy work.
We offer integrated environmental solutions tailored to the needs ofgovernment agencies, private companies, and community stakeholders. Our goal is to deliver science-based, sustainable, and inclusive strategies for environmental conservation and development.
ELRC offers comprehensive mapping services, including drone-based mapping, training, and aerial surveys, as well as remote sensing using
high-resolution satellite data. Our expertise covers map analysis, spatial data synthesis, and professional cartography to support planning, monitoring, and decision-making for environmental and development initiatives.
ELRC facilitates inclusive community engagement activities to ensure stakeholder participation in environmental and development projects. We conduct community consultations, focus group discussions, and participatory rural appraisals to gather local insights and promote collaborative decision-making. Our training programs cover topics such as environmental awareness, sustainable resource management, biodiversity conservation, climate daptation, and livelihood enhancement. We also build the capacity of local government units, people’s organizations, and community-based groups through customized workshops, technical sessions, and field-based learning.
ELRC designs and conducts socio-ecological surveys to gather critical data on the interactions between communities and their environment. Our surveys assess local knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to natural resource use, biodiversity, food security, and ecosystem services. We employ both quantitative and qualitative tools, including structured interviews, household surveys, key informant interviews, and participatory mapping, to inform project planning, policy development, and conservation strategies.
ELRC conducts comprehensive biodiversity assessments to evaluate the presence, abundance, and distribution of flora and fauna within terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Our team uses standard scientific protocols such as transect walks, quadrat sampling, mist-netting, pitfall traps, camera trapping, and acoustic monitoring to document species richness and ecological conditions. We specialize in identifying threatened, endemic, and indicator species, and in assessing habitat integrity and ecosystem health. The data generated supports environmental impact assessments, conservation planning, and the establishment of biodiversity-friendly zones. We also engage
local communities and institutions in participatory biodiversity monitoring to promote stewardship and long-term sustainability.
ELRC provides expert support in securing and managing environmental permits to ensure legal compliance with national and local regulations. We assist clients in the preparation and processing of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Initial Environmental Examinations (IEE), Environmental Compliance Certificates (ECC), Wildlife Gratuitous Permits (GP), and Special Use Agreements in Protected Areas (SAPA). Our services include stakeholder consultations, site assessments, documentation, mapping, and coordination with regulatory agencies such as DENR, NCIP, and LGUs. We also offer compliance monitoring, reporting, and guidance to help clients adhere to permit conditions and environmental standards throughout project implementation.
ELRC provides technical assistance in audits and compliance, including certification and internal audits, as well as the development of management and operational system documentation. Our services also cover quality assurance and laboratory management, provide support and training for the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices and 5S, risk management for food safety, quality, and business operations, and team leadership for effective organizational performance.
ELRC conducted a comprehensive Protected Area Suitability Assessment (PASA) for the Libungan River Watershed and Forest Reserve in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). The project involved ecological field surveys, socio-economic assessments, and biodiversity inventories to evaluate the area's ecological integrity, community dependence, and conservation potential. Findings were synthesized into technical reports to support the declaration and management planning of the site as a protected area under the NIPAS framework.
ELRC supported Ayala Corporation Energy (ACEN) in identifying and mapping potential project sites for nature-based solutions (NbS) in their selected landscapes. The project involved community based mapping surveys, satellite imagery analysis, and GIS-based spatial modeling to evaluate biophysical suitability, and land cover. Ground validation and stakeholder consultations were also conducted to align mapping outputs with local ecological knowledge and community
perspectives. The final deliverables included high-resolution maps, site profiles, and spatial prioritization tools to guide ACEN in selecting
carbon sequestration initiatives aligned with sustainability and climate resilience goals.
